Happy 233rd America!

And you don't look a day over 128!

On this day, as every day, we say a special thanks to those that have purchased our safety and security with their sweat, toil, tears and blood; our soldiers, sailors, airmen, coasties, Marines, police officers and firefighters, each of whom, at some point in his or her life, stepped forward, raised their hand and took an oath to defend and serve our great nation and people. We also offer a special thanks to those families and friends who sit at home and wait, for they also serve.

You are not forgotten on this day or any other. May God bless each of you.

And here's a note for every American, especially those in Washington, D.C. who claim to be "leading" this nation.

I Support Sarah

Whatever her reason/s for moving on, I don't blame her.

With scum like Letterman calling her a slut and advocating the molestation and rape of her children, with the lamestream media making fun of her youngest child and labeling him "retarded," with the false ethics complaints and the hate and the outright lies, I'd say eff you, too.

And it's not like John McCain is doing her any favors and watching her back. His underlings - who cost him the election, by the way, with their absolutely pathetic campaign - take shots at her behind her back, blame her for their mistakes, while McCain says nothing, thereby implying agreement. I have lost so much respect for that guy over the last eight months that it's not even funny. I voted for him, grudgingly, but with Obama as an opponent, it's not like there was a decent choice out there.

I'd like to see her stick around because she has a better handle on Conservatism than many of the people in the Republican Party, but we'll have to wait and see. Who else have we got? Huckabee? No. Romney? Better, but no. Jindal isn't ready. Gingrich I'd vote for, but he's to smart to run again. But we have to do something because there won't be a country left if Obama gets the chance to sell us all out for four more years.

Lori Drew - What's Wrong with America

It's sad to think that this pathetic woman - who clearly has very low self-esteem - may actually get away with pushing a young teenager to commit suicide.

A federal judge on Thursday tentatively threw out the convictions of a Missouri mother for her role in a MySpace hoax directed at a 13-year-old neighbor girl who ended up committing suicide.

U.S. District Judge George Wu said he was acquitting Lori Drew of misdemeanor counts of accessing computers without authorization but stressed the ruling was tentative until he issues it in writing. He noted the case of a judge who changed his mind after ruling.

What a disgusting human being.

U.S. Soldier Captured in Afghanistan

An American soldier is believed being held by the Taliban after he walked off his base in eastern Afghanistan without his body armor and weapon, officials said Thursday.

The military has intercepted communications in which insurgents said they had captured an American, two U.S. officials said on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak on the record.

Let's all pray that it ends well.

82nd Airborne Reinforces 7th Cavalry at Little Bighorn

And only 133 years too late!

Organizers of the jump, in which 60 soldiers wafted to ground under khaki-colored parachutes, said it was the largest gathering of U.S. Cavalry personnel on the site since the Battle of the Little Bighorn on June 25, 1876.

Col. Christopher Gibson said the soldiers had a great jump and added "what an historical place to conduct an Airborne operation."

"We are very honored to be among the warriors that are here today and all veterans," Gibson said. "All veterans, who came before us and by their example showed us the way and gave us the freedoms we have today."

Modern day scouts, like Gibson and the other cavalry members, are the lineage of Indian warrior scouts. Although today's cavalry is seldom on horseback, they maintain the mental and physical toughness, and are smart, courageous and tenacious, just as their military forbearers were, he said.

Now that's a jump I would really have liked to be a part of.

Anniversary of Operation Red Wing

On June 28, 2005, four members of the elite Navy SEALs were running a CI mission in Kunar Province, Afghanistan. The team was discovered by goat herders but refused to kill them, even though they knew that they risked discovery in letting them go. The herders did betray the team, which immediately encountered an overwhelming and numerically superior hostile force.

After killing dozens of the enemy, the SEALs became encircled and all four were wounded. Despite incredible heroism, three of the SEALs were killed and a fourth - Marcus Luttrell - barely survived. He was hidden and protected by local tribesmen until his eventual rescue by U.S. troops.

Tragically, an MH-47 helicopter bringing more SpecOps troops to assist the SEALs was shot down, killing all sixteen on board. It was the largest loss of SpecOps personnel in the war.

The battle was well documented in Marcus Luttrell's excellent read Lone Survivor: The Eyewitness Account of Operation Red Wing and the Lost Heroes of SEAL Team 10,

Today we honor and remember those great men. You are not forgotten.

Sunday Best - Hope for America

I am very worried for my country.

The House, Senate and White House are full of corrupt liars, cheats and scam artists who care nothing about this nation or our people, but exist simply to line their own pockets and pad their own egos while their peers - who are doing the exact same thing - cover for their greed and lawbreaking. They are stealing us blind and, thanks to an equally corrupt and biased media, most Americans remain largely ignorant of what these people are really doing.

I wonder what will become of America when the government - which cannot even run itself effectively - controls all banks and large businesses, has spent us into eternal debt, controls all health care, has taxed us all into poverty and has grown so big, by Liberal design, that no one can change it. I wonder what will become of America when these lying, cheating crooks in government have banned guns, shunned traditional family values and religion, legalized drugs and prostitution (for taxing purposes, mind you!), ruined our health, opened our borders, weakened our military and ignored our allies around the globe while appeasing our enemies. All to pay back those that purchased their office and their dignity in the first place.

Having these people in control of our nation at this critical point in world history is scary indeed. But then someone sends me a video and my faith in the American people is, albeit briefly, restored.

As far as I know, SSG John Beale was just an ordinary American son, a father and a man of God. A better man, by far, than those who governed him and fall far short of his example. At some point, he stepped forward, raised his hand and took an oath. And he gave his life for us in Afghanistan earlier this year. May God bless you, brother, and give you peace.

Gingrich in 2012?

I have always liked Gingrich, I think we would have been a much better choice than John McCain, but we all know how that worked out. In this Newsmax article, he clearly leaves open the option of running against Obama in 2012. Assuming moderate Democrats continue to allow their party to be hijacked by the nuts on the far Left and let him run for re-election, that is.

Several polls in the past week have reported a decline in public support for Mr. Obama's economic stimulus and other spending measures, reinforcing Mr. Gingrich's claim that a bolder conservative agenda could have widespread appeal in next year's midterm elections.

A Washington Post/ABC News poll released Monday found support for the stimulus program in states that were decided by fewer than 10 percentage points in the 2008 presidential election had fallen to 50 percent, down from 63 percent at the 100-day point in his presidency. That poll also found that a 54 percent majority of Americans - including 61 percent of independents - favored "smaller government with fewer services" over "larger government with more services."

Notably, a Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll published last week found that 58 percent of its respondents said Congress and the president should focus more on reducing the deficit, "even if it takes longer for the economy to recover."

Moderates are starting to wake up to the Obama lie and the far Left knows it, so they will try to ram through every bit of questionable legislation that they can before Conservatives begin to take back power in the next election. Gun control, amnesty, government-run healthcare, soaring taxes, radical "green" policies and hyperinflation are all in the cards for the coming months.

We'd better be prepared to fight back.
