California Law Enforcement Officers Killed

On Thursday, 25 February, Fresno County Sheriff's Deputy Joel Wahlenmaier,48, a 12-year veteran of the department, and  Deputy Mark Harris were attempting to serve a warrant on a suspect wanted for arson in the town of Minkler, California. As they entered the suspect's mobile home, the suspect opened fire with a rifle, killing Wahlenmaier and wounding Harris, whose injuries were not life-threatening.

After calls for assistance, Reedley Police Officer Javier Bejar, 28, a former Marine and five-year veteran of the department, was shot with a scoped rifle as he crouched behind his unit, seeking cover. He remained on life support for several days until it was clear that he would not improve.

The PoS suspect was ultimately killed by a self-inflicted head wound during the ensuing shootout, where more than 500 shots were fired.

Deputy Wahlenmaier is survived by his wife a daughter and his parents. The ‘Joel Wahlenmaier Family Memorial Fund’has been established for those wishing to donate. Persons may send their contributions care of the Fresno Deputy Sheriff’s Association, 1360 Van Ness Ave, Fresno CA, 93721.

Officer Bejar is survived by his wife and other family members. The Reedley Police Officer's Association (POA) has set-up the Javier Bejar Support Fund at Chase Banks. Contributions can be made at any Chase Bank Location.

In an unrelated incident, San Diego County Sheriff's Deputy Ken Collier, 39, a 12-year veteran of the department, was killed during the pursuit of a drunk driver who was driving the wrong way on the freeway when his unit struck a bridge abutment and tumbled hundreds of feet down an embankment. A dispatcher riding with Collier survived the crash with minor injuries.

The suspect was arrested a short time later and charged with vehicular manslaughter, evading arrest and drunk driving.

Deputy Collier is survived by his fiancee and other family members. A memorial fund has been set up for his family. Donations for the Kenneth J. Collier Memorial Fundcan be done at any branch of the San Diego County Credit Union.

Rest in peace, gentlemen.

Yet Another Obama National Security Failure

The arrogance and incompetence of this president continues.  While it seems that he has finally come to the same conclusion as the rest of the planet - that a KSM trial in N.Y. is an exceedingly bad idea - he refuses to hang the moronic Eric Holder out to dry or even admit his own mistake.

Here's his new plan:

The officials did not say where else the trial might be held, but others have suggested an unpopulated island near Manhattan or nearby military installations.

Obama has maintained his support for a civilian trial. White House spokesman Bill Burton said Thursday the president is committed to seeing Mohammed and his alleged accomplices brought to justice and believes that can be done successfully and securely in a federal court.

Unpopulated islands or military installations in the N.Y. area? Are you serious? Why is it one mistake after another with Obama, Holder, Napolitano, and company, especially when it comes to defending our country? Will they ever wake up and do the jobs they were elected or appointed to do, rather then fuel their far-left zealotry?

I can solve this problem with three words: Git-fucking-mo! Or better yet, these three: kill-don't-capture!

California: the Failed Liberal Experiment

Here's more proof - as if any of us needed it - that California is America's first failed state.

Lawmakers on Tuesday approved Assembly Bill 390 -- legislation to tax and regulate marijuana. The Assembly's Public Safety Committee voted 4-3 on bill at a hearing in Sacramento. The bill will now be passed to the full Assembly on Friday for consideration.

The bill, authored by San Francisco Assemblyman Tom Ammiano, would essentially treat pot the same way alcohol is treated under the law and would allow adults over 21 to possess, smoke and grow marijuana.

And hey, we can use the tax money to increase awareness about drug addiction! Unbelievable. If you want to know what's wrong with California, just look at "leaders" like Tom Ammiano.

As far as I can tell, here's California's recipe for success: tons of entitlements, no immigration enforcement, rampant crime, gang members numbering in the tens of thousands, no guns for citizens to protect themselves, a failed economy, incompetent leadership, body armor for convicted felons, restricted tazer use by police, overtaxed and underemployed, if at all, and legalized/taxed prostitution and drugs. And that's just this week.

Time for the ship to desert the sinking rats.

Are the Liberals Making You Safer?

Now that they've had control of things for over a year, do you think that the Obama administration - and Liberals everywhere - are doing enough to keep America safe?

I've posted often on Obama's ineptness when it comes to dealing with Islamic terrorists. His refusal to acknowledge that we are waging a war against radical Islam - and losing- is unbelievable. He seems woefully uninformed, out of touch and poorly advised, waiting too long to respond to terrorist attacks here at home and then totally misrepresenting what really happened when he finally does get around to speaking up. He just doesn't get it.

In the last two years, he's alienated our military (labeling them killers of innocents), the CIA (by refusing to demand an investigation into Pelosi's outrageous claims of rampant lying), the Secret Service (allowing them to accept the blame for uninvited White House guests), law enforcement (we're all racists) and our intel gatherers in the field by threatening to charge them with a crime for doing there jobs. No wonder morale is at an all time low.

His Intel people Panetta, Leiter and Brennan, to name a few, seem way out of their league and, in the case of Homeland Security Sec Janet Napolitano, just plain incompetent. Time to make some changes. The only thing dumber than closing Gitmo is trying enemy combatants in New York. Mind you, these aren't national security issues, but political ones. Gotta appease those that bought him the election, you see.

Your president has failed with Iran. And North Korea. And he isn't doing all that well with Russia and China, either. Islamic fundamentalism is on the rise - and on the move - across the globe, including Yemen, Somolia and even Latin America, where they are merging with criminal gangs like MS 13. If something major happens, do any of you have the confidence that the inexperienced and clueless POTUS can respond effectively for the good of all of us?

But there's much, much more.

2010

I don't usually do the New Years resolutions thing. I follow through for a few weeks, give it a half-hearted attempt, then fall back into the same old routine. A sign of weakness, I suppose. Here's a case is point: last New Year's, I vowed that, despite my belief that Obama was the worst possible candidate for POTUS, I would support him and give him a chance to deliver on his lies, er, promises. That lasted a month, tops. Then reality set in.

However, this year, I am making a resolution, right here for all to behold, that I fully intend to deliver upon. This year I am promising that I will do everything in my power to stop the likes of Obama, Reid and Pelosi from destroying the country that I love so much. I will do it peacefully and without any violence, will make every attempt to do it respectfully (no promises!) but I will do it with passion and conviction.

I am more afraid for our nation and our people than ever before. We are waging two wars that the politicians seem determined to lose; we are on the verge of bankruptcy and poverty; we are governed by crooks, liars and thieves who reward their friends and steadfastly ignore the welfare of our citizens; Obama has failed to become BFF's with North Korea, Iran, China and Russia, and those threats are growing; Obama has decided to treat would-be mass-murdering terrorists the same as petty thieves, and that decision will cost us all dearly; he has alienated and insulted our heroes in the military, CIA, Secret Service and Law Enforcement, and their morale has declined accordingly; the list goes on and on.

We are weaker with Obama as POTUS, not stronger. He has made us the laughing stock of the world by arrogantly accepting an award he didn't earn, by refusing to confront the threats against us (specifically those of radical Islam), by refusing to do what he has promised to do, by appointing Communists, tax cheats, liars and bigots to key posts, by outright lying to the American people and by utterly failing us as a leader. Not once has he set the example when it truly mattered. The only reason that he, Pelosi and Reid remain in power is because 90% of the media refuses to report the truth of their incompetence.

I wish that I could tell you that the Republicans are better, but that would be another lie. Same liars and crooks, different party name.

This year, we will push for an end to earmarks, irrational spending, Obamacare, amnesty for lawbreakers, entitlements, blind support of "climate change" and "cap and trade". We will continue to steadfastly support the freedom to own and use a gun, term limits for all federal politicians, secure and closed borders, keeping Gitmoopen and a free and unbiased press. We will support the causes of freedom, equality and peace the world over. We will extoll the virtues of honor, honesty, service, love, kindness and integrity. And, as always, we will continue to love and support the brave men and women that serve everyday, all over the world, to keep us free.

I hope you'll all stick around for the ride. Without your support, this blog is even more lame.

A B+? How About an F??

After watching President Obama accept an award he didn't earn and doesn't deserve, I guess we shouldn't be surprised that he'd grade his first year in office as a "solid B-plus." It seems that he's been watching MSNBS again and his ego is inflating accordingly. However, given that his popularity is taking a solid nose dove, most Americans see it differently.

In my view, he'd be lucky to get an "F."

As far as unity, "transparency," reaching across party lines and "change you can believe in" go - all consistent campaign promises - he is an abject failure. However, since I don't believe he really intended any of those things to begin with, I'm not surprised. It's just those wacky things you say to get elected, ya know?

He gets a "D" in dealing with Afghanistan because it only took him some 15 months to work up the courage to do the right thing, but his pathetic delay has cost us both lives and morale there. Alienating the CIA, the Secret Service, veterans and police officers doesn't do anything to improve his homeland insecurity grade either.

His choices to surround himself with some of the craziest and dirtiest people in politics also rates a fail. Racists, animal rights nuts, tax cheats, incompetents, liars and Communists have no place beside the POTUS.

Economy? F. Jobs? F.Obamacare? F. Leadership? F. Honesty? F. Handling of Gitmo and the KSM fiasco? F-. The list goes on and on.

However, in keeping with the tradition of if-you-can't-say-anything-nice-don't-say-anything-at-all, I do give his speechifying a solid C. It's just too bad you can't believe a word the guy says.

He's hoping for even a slight improvement in year two.

Huckabeen Now Blaming Racism for Commutation of Clemmons

When you're a politician that wants to be POTUS and all else has failed, play the race card. Now it's Mike Huckabeen's turn:

The reasons were straightforward -- a unanimous recommendation from the board, support from a trial judge and no objections from officials in a case that involved a 16 year old sentenced to a term that was exponentially longer than similar cases and certainly longer than had he been white, upper middle class, and represented by effective counsel who would have clearly objected to the sentencing.  (His race, economic status, or education level are not excuses for his behavior because many people of color who are uneducated and living in abject poverty are civil, trustworthy, and honest to a fault and many well-educated, wealthy, white people are dirtbags -- think Bernie Madoff).  But sadly, Arkansas has had numerous instances of disproportionate sentencing in which a probation and fine would be meted out to white upper class kids whose parents were able to obtain the services of excellent defense attorneys, while young black males committing the same crimes and represented by public defenders would end up with inexplicably long prison terms.  Blacks comprise 15% of the state’s population, but 50% of the inmate population, some of which is due to the fact that their sentences are often longer and they are less likely to be paroled. 

Four police officers are dead, a little girl raped, all because of racist juries, not because Huckabeen commuted the sentence of a violent felon. Or so he would have you believe. Isn't it funny how he says he accepts responsibility for the decision but spends most of his time blaming everyone else for his poor choices? He certainly has the political time honored tradition of passing the buck down, doesn't he? Just once, I'd like to hear a politician say "It's my fault, I screwed up," then walk away from the microphone. Fat chance.

I do agree that he is not solely to blame for this incredible tragedy. There were certainly several inept judges along the way who bear an equal - perhaps even greater - share of the blame. Each of them should be disbarred and kicked from the bench for incompetence. Sadly, I doubt that any of them are truly bothered by this loss, Huckabeen included.

Dance away, Governor. Keep your pathetic talk show gig, because your hopes of ever holding public office again are gone.

Huckabee Dodges the Truth on O'Reilly

Can you believe how pathetic Mike Huckabee was on The O'Reilly Factor tonight when offering his explanation of why he commuted the sentence of a violent criminal who would eventually murder four Washington police officers? And what's with O'Reilly totally giving him a pass?

Isn't it funny how he forgot to mention all of the other questionable clemencies he granted as Governor, and how many of them went on to offend again? As The Seattle Times notes, Huckabee fell for the "Christian card," granted clemency to Clemmons and set the stage for yesterday's ambush. How he can sit there and blame the system, the judges and the prosecutor is astounding. Any hopes he had for a run at the presidency just dissolved into nothingness. There's a lot more blame to go around, to be sure, but it starts and ends at Huckabee's feet.

Four More Washington Officers Ambushed and Murdered

Such a sad and angry day.

We lost four more good ones this morning. Lakewood Police Officers Sgt. Mark Renninger, 39; and Officers Ronald Owens, 37; Tina Griswold, 40; and Greg Richards, 42, all ambushed and murdered as they drank coffee and wrote reports at a local coffee shop. Just days after Seattle Police Officers Timothy Brenton and Britt Sweeney were ambushed.

The suspect, as usual, is a violent repeat offender with a long criminal history. He once had a lengthy prison sentence for armed robbery which was commuted by none other than Mike Huckabee, who, as far as I can tell, has refused to explain why. It's not surprising then that Huckabee's email account at Fox News is currently closed and his own site isn't accepting email and comments after posting this pathetic statement. What a typically worthless and cowardly politician.

Mike Huckabee doesn't bear all of the burden for this one, but he has long since lost any chance whatever at being POTUS.

After even more violent crimes, including those against a child, this piece of garbage was paroled or released on bail to hurt even more people. When are we going to learn? There is no more worthless a human being than someone who would harm a child and no more dangerous a human being than one who would attack an armed and well-trained police officer, yet this piece of shit was still out walking around. Why?

The Army and FBI refused to confront an obvious terrorist in our midst because he is Muslim and they didn't want to offend anyone. And now that more than a dozen are dead, they are trying to cover up their utter disregard for the safety of our soldiers. Navy SEALs rough up a terrorist that they should have killed and - instead of being hailed as heroes - are brought up on criminal charges. Four Oakland police officers were murdered by a convicted felon that should never have been among civilized people, and we lost four more today because judges and politicians refuse to do their jobs properly.

And with budget cuts on the horizon for virtually every city and county, you can bet that this problem will worsen. Fewer cops on the street, early release for convicts, legalized drugs by the Liberals, unemployment rising, the economy about to crash, a clueless president and worthless AG, a DHS Sec that thinks vets are terrorists and actual terrorists aren't, Liberals out to take your guns so you can't defend yourself... what is happening with our society?

Who will protect us if these people cannot or simply will not? Our police officers and military personnel are protecting us but who is protecting them? The answer is simple: nobody. And I'm fucking sick of it. And yes, I just broke my own rule about not allowing profanity on my site. So sue me.
